Updates on the Opening on Borough Council

Update: At the March 2, 2021 Borough Council Work Session, Council voted to appoint Peter Stahl to fill the vacancy vacated by Pam Williams.  Mr. Stahl will be sworn in at the March 9, 2021 Borough Council Regular Meeting.

Update: interviews took place at the 02/23/2021 Borough Council Regular Meeting.  No one was appointed and the further discussion/action will go on the 03.02.2021 Work Session Agenda. New applications are not being accepted.

Pam Williams dismissed herself from the video call. Council President Zink invited interested individuals who seek to serve on council to submit a letter of intent. Anyone interested in serving on Borough Council through January 4^th, 2022 is invited to submit a letter of intent to Council President Zink at hzink@columbiapa.net.  Interested individuals must be a registered voter in Columbia Borough and have resided here for at least 1 consecutive year prior to appointment.  Letters of intent should include a brief introduction of yourself, something you feel Council should include in their goals for 2021, as well as an area you would be interested in serving as a lead.  That area does not necessarily have to be a currently defined leadership area.  Letters of intent will be accepted through Monday February 22^nd.  Applicants should plan to attend the February 23^rd Council meeting where public interviews will be held and an appointment made.  Any questions should be directed to any current member of Council.
