Walnut Street Streetscape Enhancements
Community safety is a top priority for the borough. In June 2021, we presented a plan to improve the Walnut Street corridor downtown.
We have proposed installing two-way protected bike lanes on the northwest side of Walnut Street. This would make vehicle traffic one way toward the river with parking on both sides of the street.
These transportation improvements would be focused on Walnut Street between Front and Third streets.
