Columbia Borough officials met today and continue to monitor the developing situation surrounding COVID-19. This is a very stressful time for everyone. We want to reassure our residents that we are taking precautions to keep our residents and staff safe while continuing to provide important services. Though the lobby is still closed to the public, you can call the office if you have questions or need assistance. You can also utilize the drop box or email your questions and concerns. Scheduling is in place to resume street sweeping March 31, 2020 and yard waste pick-up on April 6, 2020. We are not ticketing vehicles during the street sweeping times, but are asking all residents that can move their cars, to please do so in order for us to clean the streets. The quality of life and safety of our residents and staff are of utmost importance to us. Please continue to check the Borough website and Facebook page for updates.
If we all work together, we will not just get through this, but we will become a stronger, healthier community!
Effective Monday, October 7, 2019, there will be a new traffic pattern at the intersection of South 12th Street and Central Avenue. The traffic circle is a traffic calming measure due to issues with speeding, vehicle accidents and pedestrian safety. Yield signs will be placed near each corner and a barrier will be located in the center of the intersection.
